Vojvodina Executive Council founds Dr Zoran Djindjic award

Novi Sad, Feb 19, 2004 - The Vojvodina Executive Council decided on Wednesday to found the Dr Zoran Djindjic award for best young scientist and researcher.

Starting March this year, the award will be presented to best young scientists and researchers in social and natural sciences, Vojvodina Secretary for Science and Technology Dusan Petrovacki told a press conference in Novi Sad.

Zoran Djindjic strongly contributed to the development of science, said Petrovacki, noting that the late Serbian Prime Minister started his academic career as an associate professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.
