Part of Belgrade's central square to bear the name of Zoran Djindjic

Belgrade, Feb 20, 2004 - The Belgrade City Hall has decided to change the name of a part of Belgrade's central square, Trg Republike, into the Plateau of Zoran Djindjic, as a gesture of honour and respect for the assassinated prime minister and all that he did for Serbia.

The city hall's commission for monuments and street names said that in this way Belgrade wants to express gratitude to Zoran Djindjic for all that he did for the country.
