Belgrade, Feb 24, 2004 - Serbian Minister of Finance and Economy Bozidar Djelic told the Serbian parliament's finance board on Monday that all of Serbia's internal and external debts for the year 2003 were serviced full and in a timely manner.
Djelic said that no liability was transferred into 2004 despite difficulties in the repayment of old hard currency savings from the Dafiment bank and banks from Kosovo.
He added that budgetary revenues in 2003 amounted to 271.2 billion dinars, while spending totaled 314.4 billion dinars, which was in line with projections.
For the first time ever, according to Djelic, funds raised for covering the previous year's 42.9 billion dinar deficit were above the target and amounted to 49.9 billion dinars.
Last year, he added, around €150 million were saved in public procurements, while privatisation receipts were three times larger than projected.
Djelic said that these are figures from initial calculations and announced that the final budget report will be issued on May 1 this year.
