Denver, USA, January 17 (agencies) - After Lakers' loss to Miami, Sacramento has the league's best record at 29-9 following its 10th straight victory, a 112-107 win at Denver. Predrag "Peja" Stojakovic had 29 points and Chris Webber 21 points and 12 rebounds for the Kings, who erased a nine-point deficit late in the third quarter.

LaFrentz had 30 points and 10 rebounds for Denver, but failed to score and got off just one shot in the fourth quarter. Avery Johnson added 23 points and 12 assists.

Stojakovic to participate in All-Star Weekend

Defending champion Ray Allen of the Milwaukee Bucks heads a list of eight players selected for the Shootout during All-Star Weekend at the First Union Center in Philadelphia.

Allen made 10 straight shots in the final round of last year's competition to edge Sacramento's Predrag "Peja" Stojakovic for his first career title.

Stojakovic, who is shooting 40 percent (70-for-159) from beyond the arc in 35 games, will try to become the first winner from a Pacific Division team since Dale Ellis of the Seattle SuperSonics in 1989.

Wesley Person (Cleveland Cavaliers), Steve Smith (San Antonio Spurs), Mike Miller (Orlando Magic), Quentin Richardson (Los Angeles Clippers), Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics) and Steve Nash (Dallas Mavericks) are also participating in the shootout.

The first prize in the shootout is $25,000.

The Nuggets were without their leading scorer, Nick Van Exel, who did not play because of a bruised jaw suffered when he was elbowed by Utah's Karl Malone on Monday night.

Sacramento, which scored the last six points of the third quarter, tied it at 86-86 on Stojakovic's 3-pointer to open the final period.

Webber's jump hook gave the Kings the lead for good, 90-88, and Christie then added two 3-pointers for a 96-90 lead with 8:00 left.

Christie, who hit 7-of-8 field goals on the night, made a backcourt steal and layup on the other end during the Kings' 7-0 run that made it 103-93 with 4:23 to go.

Christie's layup on a pass from Webber made it 105-97 with 3:02 left, and Denver got no closer than five points after that.
