Bologna, ITALY, May 6 - Yugoslav player Dejan Bodiroga had 21 points, seven rebounds and four assists, while Turkish Ibrachim Kutluay added 22 points and five rebounds as Greek Panathinaikos, coached by Yugoslav Zeljko Obradovic, beat Italian Kinder Bologna 89-83 (23-23, 17-25, 24-13, 25-22) to win the final of the European League.
Kinder's Emanuel Ginobili finished with a game-high 27 points. Matijaz Smodis backed up Ginobili with 23 points, while Yugoslavia's playmaker Marko Jaric had 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Italian team.

Dejan Bodiroga was named MVP of the Euroleague Final Four tournament. Tyus Edney (Benetton), Emanuel Ginobili (Kinder), along with Yugoslavs, Dejan Tomasevic (Tau Ceramica), Marko Jaric (Kinder) and Dejan Bodiroga (Panathinaikos), were elected for the the best five of the 2001-02 Euroleague competitions.

Zeljko Obradovic is the most successful coach in the history of the Euroleague (former Champions' Cup). As a coach, he took part in eight finals and won five champions' titles with four different clubs (Partizan Belgrade 1992, Badalona 1994, Real Madrid 1995, Panathinaikos 2000, 2002).

Spurs sign Red Star's Acimovic
London, ENGLAND, April 30 (Reuters) - Tottenham Hotspur say they have signed Slovenian international midfielder Milenko Acimovic from Red Star Belgrade.
The 25-year-old, who has won 39 caps for his country and will feature at the World Cup finals, has agreed to join Spurs on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
"He's expected to be off (to the World Cup) with his national team and here for pre-season. He has signed subject to a work permit being granted," a Spurs spokesman told Reuters on Tuesday.
Acimovic has scored nine goals for Slovenia and was watched by Tottenham boss Glenn Hoddle in the 1-0 friendly win over Tunisia on April 17.
