Peja Stojakovic named NBA player of the month

New York, USA, December 1, 2003 (Sports Network) - Sacramento Kings forward Predrag "Peja" Stojakovic, of Serbia-Montenegro, was named Western Conference Players of the Month, respectively, for games played from the beginning of the season (October 28) through November.
Stojakovic averaged 23.3 points on 53 percent shooting from the field as he has guided the Kings to an eight-game winning streak and an overall record of 12-4. The guard is also connecting 42 percent from three-point range.
He had 34 points and six rebounds in a 125-121 overtime win over Minnesota on November 5. Stojakovic netted 33 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, handed out four assists and had one block in a win over the Warriors on November 16. Three nights later, he poured in 30 points, grabbed seven boards and had three assists in another overtime win against Utah.
